Tell My Story

February 17, 2010

So I'm reading this morning in Acts 26.  Paul has got himself in trouble again.  He gets to plead his case and what does he do? He tells his conversion story.  This is about the 3rd time that he has done this in the book of Acts so far.  It dawned on me that this is a good strategy.  When I get a chance to tell someone my story, I should tell them my story.  People can't really argue with my experience.  I once was lost and now I'm found.  (I'm breaking out in song right now but you can't hear it.)

During the Prodigal God series, one of my main revelations has been that we were all lost, like a sheep, and the Shepherd came and found us and saved us.  And now I know that I have value in that the Shepherd, Jesus, you probably knew that, values me.  As that is my identity; lost, found, valued by God and Jesus, I won't be a judgmental hypocrite.  Probably still a hypocrite but not judgmental.  And then we will have unity at WVFC.  A heavenly community.

Lord Jesus give me an opportunity to tell my story to someone today that they would know that You love them just as much as You love me.

May the Lord Bless You and Keep You,

Pastor Tom
