Oh my word, have you read Psalms 25? It is amazing. The whole chapter is wonderful but two things caught my attention; humility and the fear of the Lord.
Verses 9 & 10 say, He guides the humble in justice, teaches them His ways and keeps His covenant. I want that. Verse 12-14 say that if you fear the Lord, He will teach you, dwell in prosperity, inherit the earth, find out the secrets of the Lord.
Maybe it is because we are studying about the Prodigal God parable. And neither of the sons feared their their father or had a humbly attitude toward him. And because of the lack of reverence toward the father and a unwilling to position themselves to his authority they missed out on so much.
Lord Jesus reveal to me the areas of my life that I disrespect you. Teach me to fear You. Lord I pray that humility will characterize my life. May I decrease that You would increase in my life.
